Arbor Day is a holiday where people are encouraged to plant and care for trees. Arbor Day was founded in Nebraska City, Nebraska, United States and an estimated one million trees were planted on the first Arbor Day. Arbor Day was instigated by Julius Sterling Morgan in 1872. It has since been adopted by many other countries around the world. The traditional way to celebrate Arbor Day is to plant a tree. In many countries it is celebrated as Earth Day.

植树节是为鼓励人们植树并且爱护树木而设的节日。第一个植树节诞生于美国的内布拉斯加州，当天，人们种植了大约一百万棵树。1872年，经过朱利叶斯•斯特林•摩根的大力提倡，植树节逐渐被世界上其他许多国家接受。而庆祝植树节最传统的方式当然就是—亲手种一棵树。
