这两个词都可以表示采取直截了当甚至极端的态度或做法。当“干脆”作状语时,有时可以与“索性”互换。
Both words mean “to act in a straightforward way or even going to the extreme," and can be replaced by 索性.
(1) 既然我们不能合作,索性(干爽)就分开吧。
(2)这么晚了,干脆(索性)你们就住这儿吧。
这时,“干脆”更为口语化一些。
Here, 干脆 is more casual.
另外,“干脆”作状语有时有不拐弯抹角的意思,“索性”不能这样用。
Also, when used as an adverbial, 干脆 sometimes means “not to mind one’s words." 索性 cannot be so used.
(3) 干脆一句话:你答应不答应?
由于“干脆”是形容词,还可以作定语、谓语、补语等,并能重叠,词义也较广(指爽快、直截了当),“索性”则不同。
Since 干脆 is an adjective, predicate, complement, etc. It can be reduplicated into 干干脆脆 and has a wider range of meaning ("straightforward, point-blank"). 索性 is different.
