“目光”指眼神，如“目光炯炯”。
目光 means "eyesight", e.g. 目光炯炯 (sparkling eyes).
（1）妈妈慈爱的目光，在我脑海里挥之不去。
（2）他的目光有些呆滞。

“视线”则不能这样用。
视线 cannot be used in that way.
“目光”还指见识，如“目光如豆”。
目光 can also mean “knowledge", i.e. 目光如豆 (of little experience and knowledge).
（3）你应该把目光放长远一点，不要总是去计较眼前的得失。

“视线”也不能这样用。
视线 cannot be used in that way either.
“目光”和“视线”都可以指眼睛和物体之间的假想的直线。
目光 and 视线 can both indicate an imagined straight line between the eye and the object looked at.
