- Abbreviation of 中国共产主义青年团 (Communist Youth League of China) which is a mass organization of advanced youth under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and its assistant and reserve. Established in May 1922, it was initially called The Socialist Youth League of China, and was renamed Communist Youth League of China in 1925. In April 1949, it was changed into the New Democratic Youth League of China and changed back to the present name in May 1957 .
