合算 and 上算 hésuàn and shàngsuàn
1. 合算, as a verb, means “to calculate and plan.”
(1) 这件事我们还得合算合算。 (2) 你事先要合算一下,到底哪一条路更适合你。
2. 合算 and 上算 both are adjectives meaning “worth doing,” indicating that one gains more than one pays. Something, 上算 has a sense of gaining profit at other people’s expense.
