Prepositions as a conveyor of reason

A preposition is used before its object, a noun, a pronoun or a phrase, to form a phrase to show place, position, direction, method, time, object, aim, the passive. Prepositional constructions can be used as adverbial adjuncts, objects, attributives and compliment. "由于" yóuyú, "为" wèi and "为了" wèile are used to show reasons. They are put before the reason to show.
(1) 由于他腿伤了,我替他上场。
(2) 我们胜利欢呼。
(3) 我们不能为了自己而去损害别人的利益。
