修正 and 改正
xiūzhèng and gǎizhèng
1. Both 修正 and 改正 are verbs, meaning “ to eliminate deviations and mistakes, and turn the incorrect or the irrational to the correct and rational." 修正 is more formal than 改正. 修正 and 改正 are sometimes interchangeable.
(1) 第二次阅读稿件的时候，他把初稿中的错别字和一些不通顺的句子修正（改正）了一下。
(2) 这个方案的一些细节问题还需要修正（改正）一下。
2. 改正 can also be applied to concrete things.
(1) 知道错了还不够，要能够及时改正自己的错误，才能使自己进步。
(2) 这里有几个错别字，还需要改正一下。
The object of 改正 is mostly a concrete thing.
1.“修正”和“改正”都是动词，都有消除偏差和错误，把不正确、不合理的变为正确的和完善的意思，但“修正”较“改正”更加正式。“修正”和“改正”有时可以互换。
2.“改正”还可以用于其他具体事物。“改正”的宾语多事具体的事物。
