勤劳 and 勤奋
qínláo and qínfèn

Both words mean "hardworking." 勤劳 is applied to daily life, labor, various undertakings, etc., while 勤奋 is mainly applied to study, research, and work.

However, when the referent is vague, the two words are interchangeable.
