回答 vs. 答复 huídá vs. dáfù
Both words mean “to reply to a question or request.”
1. 回答 is concrete, while 答复 has the meaning of “putting into effect.” (1) 老师认真回答了同学们提出的每一个问题。 (2) 这个问题我问过他,但他的回答很模糊。 (3) 我向有关部门进行咨询,对方说三天之后答复我。 (4) 我们需要一个明确的答复。
2. Sometimes the meaning is vague so the two words are interchangeable. (5) 请你现在就这个问题给出答复(回答)。
两个词都表示对问题或要求的解释、恢复等。 1. “回答”较为具体而 “答复”有时有落实交代的意思。 例(1)和例(2)军事“有问有答,”所以应该用“回答。”例(3)和(4)含有交代, 落实的意思,所以应该用“答复。” 2. 当句子意思较含糊的时候,两个词可以换用。
