Approximate number can be expressed either by adding "来" lái, "多" duō between the numeral and measure word, or by putting "左右" zuǒyòu, "上下" shàngxià after the measure word. "来" and "多" mean to over the number. "左右" and "上下" mean "approximate". "左右" has wider usage than "上下".
