忠诚 and 忠实
zhōngchéng and zhōngshí

Both words mean “genuine and sincere.” 忠诚 stresses the sense of being faithful to the country, people, undertaking, friends; 忠实 stresses being faithful, reliable and whole-hearted.
(1) 狗是人类忠实的伙伴。
(2) 在监狱里，他表现出了对组织的忠诚。
(3) 在爱情上，她需要的是一个忠诚的伴侣。
(4) 曾经有人做了一个试验来调查消费者的品牌忠诚度。
(5) 有人认为，翻拍的影视剧应该忠实于原著。
(6) 他是一个忠实的无神论者。

Besides, 忠实 also means “true and real”.
(7) 这些照片忠实地还原了当时的情景。
(8) 这台摄像机把这些丑恶现象忠实地记录了下来。

Both 忠实 and 忠诚 can take a complement introduced by 于.
(9) 人应该忠诚于自己的理想。
(10) 翻译应该忠实于原文。

In the two examples above, the two words are not interchangeable.

两个词都有“真心诚意”的意思，“忠诚”着重指对国家、人民、事业、朋友尽心尽力；“忠实”则指老实可靠，没有二心。
另外，“忠实”还有“真实”的意思。
“忠实”和“忠诚”都可以带由介词“于”引导的补语。以上，两个词不可以互换。
