拜访 and 拜会
bàifǎng and bàihuì
Both words are verbs. 拜访 is used "to pay a visit to one's teachers or relatives," while 拜会 means "to pay a visit to an official or diplomat.”Both words imply formality and respect.
(1) 他为了这个问题专程去拜访了几位专家。
(2) 这次来，我想拜访一下那位老先生。
(3) 外交部长拜会了另一个国家的首脑。
这两个词都是动词。“拜访”表示访问师友、亲朋，“拜会”表示会见、访问官场或者外交界的官员，都含有正式、客气、尊敬的意思。
