Types of adverbs: degree

If an adverb is used to modify the adjective or verb as an adverbial adjunct, it should be put before them. Verbs or even nouns ending with character "地" de and functioning as adverbs remain are regarded as adjectives.

Some adverbs can indicate degree as well, such as "很" hěn, "极", "挺" tǐng, "怪" guài, "太" tài,"非常" fēi cháng,"极其" jí qí, "最" zuì, "更" gèng, "相当" xiāng dāng, "稍微" shāo wēi, "略" lüè, "比较" bǐ jiào, "有点" yǒu diǎn, "多么" duō me and “几乎” jī hū.

(1) 他的想法独特。
Tā de xiǎng fǎ hěn dú tè.
He has some very interesting opinions.

(2) 当时我觉得怪不好意思的。
Dāng shí wǒ jué de guài bù hǎo yì sī de.
At that time I was a bit embarrassed.

(3) 这件衣服有点贵。
Zhè jiàn yī fu yǒu diǎn guì.
These clothes are a bit expensive.

(4) 你是棒的。
Nǐ shì zuì bàng de.
You are really awesome.

(5) 这道菜稍微咸了一点。
Zhè dào cài shāo wēi xián le yì diǎn.
This food is a little salty.
