Prepositions as introducers of objects

A preposition is used before an object, noun, pronoun or a phrase, to form a phrase that describes a place, position, direction, method, time, object, aim, or the passive voice. Prepositional phrases can be used as adverbial adjuncts, objects, attributives or compliments. “对” duì, “对于” duìyú, “关于” guānyú, “至于” zhìyú, “和” hé, “跟” gēn, “同” tóng, “与” yǔ, “为” wèi, “给” gěi, “替” tì, “于” yú, “把” bǎ, “将” jiāng, “叫” jiào, “让” ràng, “被” bèi, “比” bǐ, “朝” cháo, “向” xiàng can be used as prepositions to introduce the recipients - objects - of an action. “被” may be used to introduce the doers of an action.
