笨 and 蠢

and
bèn and chǔn

Both 笨 and 蠢 are adjectives meaning "not clever." The two words are usually interchangeable.
(1) 你真),这么简单的题都不会做。
(2) 这家伙太)了。

笨 can also mean "not dexterous" e.g. 办法, 嘴, 重, 脚.

(1) 你脚的,就不要给我们帮忙了。
(2) 我嘴,不知道该怎么说。
(3) 这台机器十分重。
(4) 这个本法虽然很,但是比较保险。

“笨”和“蠢”都是形容词,表示不聪明,两个词一般可以换用。
笨也可以表示不灵巧,费力。比如说“笨手笨脚”、“嘴笨”、“笨办法”、“笨重”等等,而不能用“蠢”。
