色彩 vs. 颜色 sècǎi vs. yánsè
1. 色彩 usually means “ many colors in coordination.” 颜色 usually means “a certain color,” such as red, yellow, green, etc. (1) 晚霞的色彩十分迷人。 (2) 我想要一件黄颜色的衬衫。 (3) 我喜欢这张纸的颜色。
2. Both words can be used metaphorically. 色彩 means “the tendency of one’s thought or the unique appeal of something,” such as 民族色彩, 感情色彩. 颜色 means the condition of one’s health as shown by one’s face, or a stern countenance, attitude, or facial expression. (1) 这支舞蹈具有强烈的民族色彩。 (2) 这部小说充满了奇幻色彩。 (3) 看来不给你点颜色看看,你就不知道厉害了。 (4) 他听完这话,颜色都变了。
1. “色彩”多指各种配合在一起的颜色。而“颜色”指具体的某一种色,如红,黄,绿。 2. 两个词都可用于比喻,“色彩”常比喻人的思想倾向或某种事物特有的情调,如 “民族色彩,” “感情色彩”等。“颜色”指脸上现出的健康情况, 面色;也指之一显示给人的厉害的脸色, 态度,或者面部表情。
